I have no idea why this guy is curled up the way he is, but that's probably his pyar ka signal - translated loosely: mating sign. I don't know if it worked, but last I saw his partner was trying to bore her way through a wall.

Regardless of the focus - this is a wonderful post for Valentine's Day. Yes! I would like to see the focus of the snake better. But if it had been me taking the photo, I would probably have been so scared it wouldn't have been fit to post at all! Was it at a zoo? or is this in a natural surrounding? Happy Valentines :)

@Anne: Thanks Anne, and hope you had a great Valentine's Day.
I am sure you would have taken a better picture. The guy was in a zoo. And I was only learning to use a digital SLR.
Yes, I was in a hurry to snap him up before he changed form, but that's no excuse for not having the right focus, shutter speed or aperture.
One thing's for sure though - I am going to be hunting for love-struck snakes.
