I took this one sitting precariuosly in a tiny coracle on the Kabini river, off Mysore. It is not easy to steer a boat so round but I wasn't worried much - the boatman had firm grip over the waters. He even circled the coracle on the spot for us. And took us through three south Indian states at one go. The particular spot on the Kabini is surrounded by Karnataka's Nagarhole forest, Tamil Nadu's Mudhumalai forest, and Kerala's Wayanad - from where it originates. That's not all. The Cauvery river, over which Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have been sparring cats and dogs for more than a century now, flows through here!
